Therapy and assessment are investments, and I accept several insurance plans to help cover costs.

As of 2019, I accept Medicaid, Amerigroup, WellCare, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, BCBS HMO, and BCBS POS for therapy sessions.  

Effective February 2019: I no longer accept Medicaid, Amerigroup, WellCare, Cigna, BCBS POS, or BCBS HMO for testing services.

All psychoeduational evaluations are paid out of pocket at a flat rate that includes intake, approximately 5 hours of face-to-face test administration, scoring, report writing, and feedback; however, if less time is needed the evaluation price will be pro-rated at a per-hour rate. The total cost will not exceed the quoted flat rate even if additional time is required for evaluation; however, if less time is involved due to, for example, the young age of the child or a request to supplement a previous evaluation, a pro-rated fee will be charged per hour of the assessment/scoring/report writing process. Likewise, if the testing is simply completed more quickly than anticipated, a pro-rated hourly fee will be charged. 90-day payment plans can be developed to cover expenses; however, reports are not released until payment is received in full.  Please contact our office to discuss pricing.

I complete all assessments myself; I do not use psychometrists, technicians, or student clinicians to administer or score any portion of the evaluation or write reports.

In our experience, insurance plans do not cover education-based assessments or evaluations for educational purposes as they are considered to be not medically unnecessary. This would include assessment for all learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. In addition, if a diagnosis is not appropriate, insurance plans will not cover the cost of the assessment.

Self-pay clients are welcomed, and I strive to offer reasonable and competitive pricing for all services.  Payment is due at the time services are rendered, including copays, unless otherwise determined prior to the appointment.  Payments are accepted via cash, check, or credit card.
